A Message from the Interim President & CEO

To Our Valued Members,

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC) would like to thank you for being a proud member of our organization! Your support of our membership, events and programs means so much to us. The health of your business continues to be our priority as we are faced with much uncertainty in our community. The SAHCC continues to operate and we are committed to meeting your membership needs. Our goal is to remain flexible as this fluid situation unfolds and provide you with the latest information and access to resources to meet ongoing challenges you may be facing. We are closely monitoring the COVID – 19 crisis as well as taking actions to ensure the health and welfare of our staff, Board of Directors, members and stakeholders.

To ensure the health and safety of all who engage with our Chamber, we are taking the following actions immediately:

  • Restricting access to the SAHCC office building to employees, those attending scheduled meetings, and essential vendors only
  • Scheduling essential SAHCC board and committee meetings virtually or by teleconference
  • Eliminating large groups and postponement of all SAHCC events originally scheduled during these coming weeks
  • Mandating telework for employees deemed to be most vulnerable to COVID – 19, and instructing employees who don’t feel well to remain at home
  • Continual conveyance of information to our staff, Board of Directors, members and stakeholders regarding preventative measures to avoid infection

I encourage your suggestions and open dialogue with me, our staff and Board of Directors.

Please let us know how we can be helpful to your business during this time. Our staff will be working diligently to ensure that you receive great customer service and that your questions are being answered to the best of our ability. The SAHCC will continue to be the leading advocate for your business and our community.

In the next few days, we will continue to provide information to small businesses who are currently facing immense challenges due to this crisis. Below are resources/information which members can take advantage of immediately:

Finally, thank you for your continued patience and membership --- we will all get through this together.

Best,

Juan G. Ayala, Major General (USMC Ret)
