San Antonio Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce Announces New President & CEO

SAN ANTONIO, February 29, 2024 - The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC) is pleased to announce seasoned chamber executive Luis A. Rodriguez as its new President & CEO. Rodriguez will take the helm of the organization on April 1, 2024.


Rodriguez joins the SAHCC with an impressive track record, boasting over two decades of experience in the business community and a robust background in chamber affairs. His expertise spans economic development and public policy. Rodriguez is a longstanding member of the SAHCC Board of Directors and Executive Committee, showcasing his commitment to the organization.

His wealth of knowledge is apparent in diverse past roles at the SAHCC, including serving as the former Chief Operations Officer, Vice President of Economic Development, and Vice President of Membership. Notably, his most recent position as the Co-Founder and CEO of Modern Managed IT, established him as a prominent figure in the tech industry. He also served as President & CEO of the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce from 2017 to 2020.


Steve Alaniz, Partner at Momentum Physical Therapy and 2024 SAHCC Board Chair, expressed confidence in Luis's leadership abilities. “Luis is recognized as the right leader to elevate the SAHCC to new heights, prepare for a significant milestone – the centennial celebration in the coming years – and advocate for our community’s critically important Hispanic businesses, small businesses, and businesses serving Hispanics.”


The SAHCC Board of Directors extends heartfelt gratitude to our Interim President & CEO and Mayor of Castle Hills, JR Treviño. "We are extremely grateful for Mayor Treviño’s unwavering commitment to the organization during his tenure as interim CEO,” added Alaniz. “Throughout this transitional period, he skillfully steered the SAHCC, oversaw a successful annual gala, facilitated the launch of the inaugural cohort of the small business AVANZAR program, and successfully launched the first scholarship endowment fund for the SAHCC’s Alex Briseño Leadership Development Program.”
