Small Business Growth & Support

• Supports legislation and funding that promotes small business growth, unleashes innovation, streamlines procurement processes, and services, and expands access to capital for micro and small businesses in Texas.
• Supports legislation to increase the percentage of contracts awarded by the state and municipal governments to local small businesses, especially minority, women, and veteran-owned small businesses.

Economic Development

• Supports preserving, modernizing, and increasing the availability of economic development tools that keep the Texas economy competitive, encourage significant job creation, attract, and retain capital-intensive projects.
• Supports legislation that reduces the regulatory and property tax burden on all micro and small businesses.
• Supports working with the Texas Broadband Development Office and private internet service providers to expand access to high-speed internet service for all Texans.

Talent Development:

• Supports a state school finance system based on a combination of attendance and enrollment, including adjustments for changing student learning needs, workforce shortages, and inflationary costs.
• Supports the enhancement and expansion of workforce development programs for all Texans to obtain the skills necessary for high-wage, in-demand jobs leading to economic mobility and a globally competitive Texas.

Entrepreneurship:

• Supports legislation that provides startups and aspiring entrepreneurs with the capital and resources they need to create jobs, foster innovation, competition and capitalize on growth opportunities.
