The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA)

Today, after over a year of negotiations, the House of Representatives took a step forward by bringing the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) to a vote on the House floor and passing the measure.  Thank you to our Congressman Joaquin Castro, Congressman Henry Cuellar, Congressman Lloyd Doggett, Congressman Will Hurd, and Congressman Chip Roy for understanding the importance of free trade and the globalization that bolsters our growing economy.

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC) is a longstanding supporter of the USMCA.  Passage of the USMCA guarantees 700,000+ jobs in Texas alone, assures Texas' #1 export status with $173 billion+ worth of goods exchanged between the Texas-Mexico region every year, and increased sales due to trade for our small businesses.

The SAHCC urges Senator John Cornyn and Senator Ted Cruz to support the USMCA in January 2020 when it reaches the Senate floor.
