The Alexander Briseño Leadership Development Program (ABLDP) is excited to announce the appointment of Jonathan P. Melchor and Lynn Blanco Pérez as the Co-Chairs Elect for the 2025 cohort. These exceptional leaders bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and a shared commitment to fostering the next generation of leaders in San Antonio.
Jonathan Patrick Melchor, a proud son of Brownsville, Texas, exemplifies resilience and dedication. With a distinguished career as an Acting Postmaster in several central Texas postal installations, Jonathan has led diverse teams, ensuring efficient service delivery and exceptional customer care. His transition into the financial services industry reflects his ongoing commitment to helping individuals and families secure their financial futures with precision and compassion. A participant in the Alexander Briseño Leadership Development Program, Jonathan leverages his cultural heritage to inspire and uplift his community. His devotion to his family, including his two children, underscores his mission to nurture future leaders, grounded in integrity, resilience, and service. His guiding philosophy echoes the words of John C. Maxwell: “Empowerment is not about giving people power, but unleashing the power they already possess.”
Jonathan’s wish for 2025 reflects his dedication to transformative leadership:
“My wish for 2025 is that it becomes a year of transformation, a time when each of us discovers the depths of our potential and the power of our purpose. May we rise to meet challenges with courage, foster unity through compassion, and lead with integrity. Let this year leave a legacy of service and inspiration, proving that true leadership lies not in what we achieve for ourselves, but in what we empower others to achieve.”
Lynn Blanco Pérez is a dynamic professional with over 15 years of experience in the Automotive Industry. Currently serving as a Trade Programs Analyst for Toyota Motor North America, Lynn oversees trade program administration and compliance initiatives. Her career at Toyota has included roles in Production and Quality Control, where she excelled in continuous improvement and critical problem-solving. Lynn is also the founder of The Parting Planner, an event planning company specializing in memorials and celebration-of-life events, where she combines her organizational skills with a passion for serving others during life’s most challenging transitions.
In addition to her professional roles, Lynn is deeply invested in leadership development. She has served as Chair of Toyota’s Young Professionals Business Partnering Group and as a Steering Committee member for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Alex Briseño Leadership Development Program. Lynn is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.A. in Communication, and her career reflects a dedication to professional growth, community service, and heartfelt connection.
Lynn’s wish for the year highlights her commitment to fostering a strong sense of self and impactful community involvement within the cohort:
“I wish to encourage the rising leaders of San Antonio to lean into their purpose and passion through self-reflection, mindfulness, and determination. I wish for them to embrace Mr. Briseño’s simple, yet powerful, philosophy wholeheartedly and with enthusiasm. I hope the 2025 cohort emerges with a stronger sense of self, everlasting connections, and the ‘ganas’ to create purposeful change in the community.”
Together, Jonathan and Lynn will lead the ABLDP 2025 cohort, guiding participants through a journey of personal and professional growth. Their combined vision promises a year of impactful leadership development, aligned with ABLDP’s mission to cultivate leaders who embody integrity, service, and a commitment to community advancement.
