SAHCC Announces ABLDP Class of 2025 Co-Chairs

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC) proudly announces Dr. Reba Sims, Director of Student Housing at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, and Ricardo “Ricky” Ramirez, Senior Sales Executive at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and Riverwalk, as Co-Chairs for the Alexander Briseño Leadership Development Program (ABLDP) Class of 2025.

Both leaders bring a wealth of experience and passion to their roles, having served as Co-Chairs Elect for the Class of 2024. Their commitment to fostering leadership through Mr. Alexander Briseño’s principles and the philosophy of “Gerencia Con Corazón” (management with heart) sets the tone for a transformative year ahead.

Dr. Reba Sims brings years of expertise in strategic planning, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and student affairs. As a leader dedicated to lifelong learning and community service, she shared her vision for the program:
"I wish to embolden leaders of the future to connect, inspire, and be intentional in their interactions and impacts with their surroundings. I hope the 2025 cohort creates meaningful relationships, discovers their innermost selves, and acquires practical skills to apply in their communities, personal lives, and careers. Lead with Gerencia Con Corazón, embrace the spaces in which we reside, and return more than we take."

Ricardo “Ricky” Ramirez, a seasoned hospitality professional and advocate for inclusion, is equally committed to empowering others. Reflecting on his goals for the program, he said:
"I wish to continue empowering leaders with the skills, confidence, and connections to create meaningful change in our community. I hope this cohort builds lifelong relationships, embraces collaboration, and inspires others by embodying the values of leadership, inclusivity, and innovation. Together, may we lead with purpose and shape a brighter future for San Antonio and beyond."

ABLDP is a seven-month leadership development program designed to prepare participants to lead effectively in their personal, professional, and civic endeavors. This year’s theme, “A Vision for Our Future,” emphasizes thoughtful decision-making today to ensure San Antonio’s success and sustainability tomorrow.
