SAHCC Applauds the Passing of SB 6, a Bill that Protects Small Businesses from Frivolous Lawsuits

April 9, 2021 - The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, Marina Gonzales, issued the following statement after the Texas Senate passed SB 6 yesterday:


“The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce applauds the Texas Senate for passing SB 6. This bill will help bolster our economic recovery from the pandemic and provide economic certainty for our more than 900 members, the majority of whom are small, locally owned businesses. Strong economic recovery is dependent upon the success of our small business community. With the passage of this bill, we are one step closer to protecting our small businesses who decided to open safely during the pandemic from frivolous lawsuits. Our Chamber remains committed to advocating for legislation at the state and federal level that will support our economic recovery and protect our members”
